When the pier and A1A Beach Boulevard get busy, you come back to a calm residential street in Crescent Beach and a fenced yard for your dog.
Crescent Beach is about a 4 minute walk from the house, so a beach day starts on foot with the chairs and umbrella from the shed.
The St. Augustine Beach pier is about 12 minutes up A1A, and historic downtown St. Augustine is about 18 minutes from the house.
What you get in the beach house
After a day at the pier or on the sand, the house gives everyone their own space, with two queen bedrooms, a bunk room, a bonus room and two full baths.
What St. Augustine Beach is known for
St. Augustine Beach is the busier, livelier stretch of Anastasia Island. Its waves draw surfers, skim boarders, boogie boarders and paddle boarders, and the shops, surf rentals and restaurants along A1A Beach Boulevard are within walking distance of the sand. Lifeguards are posted from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
The center of it all is St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park, just south of Anastasia State Park. The park has a splash pad, a playground, a covered pavilion, volleyball courts, free parking and a farmers market every Wednesday.

Stay close to home
- Walk across the street to Crescent Beach, about 4 minutes.
- Grab the chairs, umbrella and beach toys from the shed before you go.
- Rinse off at the outdoor shower, then end the day in the hot tub.
Head up to St. Augustine Beach
- Drive about 12 minutes north on A1A to the pier park.
- Let the kids loose on the splash pad and playground, or catch the Wednesday farmers market.
- Watch the surfers, then walk A1A Beach Boulevard for lunch and shopping.
Bringing your dog
Yes, small dogs are welcome at Madison By The Sea with approval. Before you book, iTrip, our local property manager, approves each pet, so have the number of dogs, their weight and their breed ready. A pet fee applies once approved.
On the beach, St. Johns County asks that dogs stay leashed at all times, including in the water, and that you pick up after them. Bags are available at most beach walkovers and ramps. Back at the house, the fully fenced backyard gives your dog room to run.
